What is Paleo Diet?
The paleolithic diet, also known as the cave man diet, Stone Age diet and the hunter-gatherer diet, is a modern nutritional plan based on the presumed ancient diet of wild plants and animals that various hominid species habitually consumed during the Paleolithic era—a period of about 15,000 years ago. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paleo_diet
To these ends we are talking about foods that we think, or in some cases know, our ancestors of millions of years ago would have been eating. We know which animals, fruits and vegetables were available during the Paleolithic age and of course also what herbs and spices could be found, although some of these would have been confined to the areas in which they grew naturally.
I see no reason why the herbs and spices that were not necessarily available in certain parts of the world should not be used in all our diets now that they are freely available.
What is Paleo diet? The Paleo diet is the healthiest way you can eat. Why? This diet is the only nutritional method that was designed to work with your body. This helps you to stay lean, and also strong and energetic.
Research that has been carried out worldwide into many of the biological disciplines has laid the problems of many of our ailments down to the modern diet with all its refined foods trans fats and sugar. They indicate that these foods are at the root of degenerative diseases such as obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson’s, depressive illnesses and infertility.
Lean proteins are needed for strong muscles along with healthy bones and also give an optimal immune function.
Fruit and vegetables have many anti oxidants along with vitamins and minerals. They also contain phyto nutrients which have been shown to cut down the incidence of degenerative diseases and neurological decline.
Healthy fats have been shown to reduce the onset of obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease and cognitive decline. What is Paleo diet? It is a far better way to eat than most of us are eating at the moment.
